A failed armed robbery attempt at Ryan’s Pub in Frankfort, a suburb of Chicago, in May of 2022 resulted in the death of one of the robbers. Two masked men entered the bar, demanded money from patrons, and threatened their lives.
One customer, who was carrying a concealed firearm, shot and killed one of the robbers. The other robber fled the scene. It was later discovered that the robbers were carrying “replica” firearms. The incident has received support from social media users, who believe that criminals need to face the consequences of their actions.
This is one of many defensive shootings that occurred in the Chicago area in 2022.
